thats a high 13 second car stock. You are running 15.5 stock. You need tune, exhaust, gears (4.10)....actually, you just need two more cylinders. Youll never mod your car to beat him anyway...no one ever does on here from what iv seen. He has a decently fast car. You dont unfortunately. This is what you do to beat him.....GO to Hertz. Rent the GT-350H and then race him. :wave

So It is kinda a lost cause in your guys opinions? I thought our cars were in the mid 16s, not 15s. :dunno

he will more than likely beat you.

but give him hell.... he may suck at driving and you have to remember that his car is also almost 20 years old... it doesn't have 240HP anymore.

yah the iroc z is probably hurtin for a squirtin it might be a good race.

Well aren't you just the optimistic one now aren't you?


Alright bud you can mod your car to beat him. It's possible, but it will take a bit of money to do it...unless you get some nitrous and throw it on there, get an awesome tune.

Yeha, thanks guys, My car is coming along, thanks for the imput, what type of tune do you reccomend?

Here is my build plan,

1. 3:73 gears
2. engine tune (not sure what type)
3. UD pulleys
4. true dual pipes, gt take off catback, custom H pipe
5. CAI
6. K&n air filter
7. 8.8 T-Lock
8. Mac long tube headers

Thats it for what I have planed now, much more planned for the future.
 
now realize you can't just get a 8.8" t-lok without the 8.8" rear end.

Go for either Sniper, or SCT.

Save up for a dyno tune as well, with a/f readouts. That will help you out a lot. Get the most you can get out of it. You may want to look into some sort of poweradder as well.

SCT > SNIPER

Call any mustang shop and ask them what they recommend, you might find ONE or two shops that are gonna say Sniper. Everybody says SCT for mustangs.

As for beating an IROC unless its in mint condition with less than 50k miles on the speedo you should beat it with no problems.

Never seen a HIGH 13second[stock] IROC in my life

Edit: It only has: 240hp

so then if most places sold Chevy instead of ford would that make them chevy better? your logic is illogical. that being said you need understand why sniper is the better choice. so i will explain yet again. and lastly SCT is sniper with less options for the end user and a different name Sniper MADE SCT! SCT BOUGHT THERE SOFTWARE AND ALL THERE **** FROM SNIPER. Sniper was the industry first. I dont know about you but im sticking with the company thats is making the innovation. not the one who buys it. Both are good tuners but sniper give you more options. if i bought a sct id still say sniper is better. whats wit the sct boner you in there pocket? I like sniper better cuz fact to fact they have more for your money option wise you like sct cuz every one els does or you have an sct boner or you are in there pocket you chose what u like to explain your self with.

I have heard of them running mid-low 14s. But never high 13s, thought that was kinda fishy my self.
