Stripes and sound
Sound - on my 2nd set of mufflers and I was still pretty disappointed with the sound , until, I got the CAI. All those people that told me not to bother with the CAI on the 2010 were WRONG. So, too quiet? too raspy?
Stripes, I wanted more color but they were expensive so I got these cheap ones as a "test" set but they look ok now. There are side stripes on there, at least I put some on they are probably still there you just cant see them. I was thinking of adding roush side or one of the hockey stick ones. Too much? too cheesy?

Good ear, I was going to ask how the hell you knew that but do they sound like yours? The video isn't true sound but its close enough. I rev'd it a few times but you can't hear that at all.

Ha, I KNEW that was coming, thats even why I said sound and stripes. Its ok, I like some different stuff, its staying. Its not bad for the paint, I had the same on my 2000 and 2004 GT.

They can hold dirt and water and damage the paint underneath. It can be bad for the paint. Seeing as how you live in Florida you probably won't end up with salt under there, but the trim can lead to premature rot.

Car looks awesome! GET gears 4.10 or 4.30 and just get a muffler delete trust me it will be a different car!!

Are those stock gears? I'm lucky enough to have bought a 05 manual GT with 4.30's, and when i hear acceleration vids like yours it makes me realize how long it takes for 1st and 2nd to wind out....1st and 2nd are so much fun in my car...GET THE GEARS!!!

Yes, gears are next. 4.30 gears? I've been reading on here trying to decide between 3.73's and 4.10's. Trying to get the sound right, I think its still too quiet, I looked at muffler deletes first but the sound clips on AM sound the same as the violators. I'm so sick of exhaust clips.

HAHA I feel your pain. I have been thru I say about 4 set ups already and still cant find one I'm happy with. =( Do you have just the violators with the stock H pipe?

And yes please dude, take off those horrible chrome accents =/ Anyways I'm looking at doing some flat black 12 in racing strips as well. Looks nice on yours. Were they easy to install? And where did you get them?

Stripes were amazingly easy, even fun, using the soap and slide method and I have ZERO patience for that type of stuff. So I got the cheapest precut I could find as a test set but I think I like them, so this thread. Got them from the decalshoppe for $80 I think, like the stripes even when they didn't fit right and I had to cut them anyway, but they are jerks. Someone started a they suc thread a few weeks ago, should be able to find it in search.
UPR catted X plus the violators.
Sorry, chrome stuff stays.

Had a set of Magnaflow Muffler Deletes on and the sound was like a rice burner...

I wont bother to put up a video since your sick of exhaust clips :rolleyes:

Took 'em off and put on a set of Bassani Axle-Back Mufflers that a friend used on his GT500 for about a month. He didn't like their sound and went back to stock mufflers.

I got a 'em for a price I could not let go.

I'm going to have agree with loosing some of the chrome, I think nothing looks sexier and cleaner then an all black car with a nice set of chrome rims. To much chrome gives the car a kinda cheap look but its your car so you can decide what you think looks sexy on it.

Hmm, thats actually a good point, I didn't even think of it that way. I may remove a couple things since its loaded up on chrome now but I'm in no rush.
Stripes and sound...
