Gonna be putting these on tomorrow and wanted to know if anyone else has done it. I'm mainly thinking how to remove my **** balljoints b/c I feel like thats where I'll run into some snags.

Yep, done it. Need a press, torch and/or 5lb sledge. If you don't have access to at least some of these you're gonna feel like you've had your ass kicked. Most will press right out, if you have a press of course. If you don't have a press, heat and the sledge will work but I recommend against it. You'd be better off taking the arms to a shop that will press the old ones out and press the new ones in. You'll be looking at less than $50 if you carry the arms to them with the new joints.

I plan to rent a press from autozone and I'm sure my neighbor has a torch so I dont think I'll have to much of an issue. What part of the balljoint exactly needs heated up? The whole thing or just the rubber boot?

Nothing needs to be heated if you have a press. Take your X2s and put them in the freezer tonight so they'll shrink a little and be easier to press in. Do the whole job without a torch if there is anyway possible. Torch is not a good idea in my opinion, it is a final option.

Some pb blast and a lil torch + some help from a hammer got mine out pretty quick without much effort. Then I used a kit to install them... Cake job really

So really, the press can be used to press the old ones out? I thought it was used to press the new ones in.

I don't know what kind of press you're renting from the parts store so I don't know that it will work to press the old ones out. I have a large hydraulic press and yes I press them out. Heat and beat works, but it softens the metal in the A arm and beating on it can cause bending/warpage. Both methods work and if done properly shouldn't cause damage but you're more prone to damage using heat and beat.

The press I rented from autozone was able to press in and out.

Holy **** my drivers side balljoint is ****ed up. The nut that sits on the bolt isn't on the whole way allowing the spindle to travel up and down. This is most likely the pop noise I hear sometimes when I turn left, so that problem is solved. My problem now is when I go to remove the nut, the bolt spins along with it and I cant get anything to hold the bolt tight enough to keep it from spinning to get the nut off. I'm gonna get a pic on here to show you guys. What can I do to get this bitch off?

Edit: Broke out the hacksaw to cut the bolt, so far its working.

I had to use an impact wrench... that's the only way I could figure a way.

I am installing the same thing I just went to autozone and picked i
Up the tool for $100 but I get it back when I am done. Should get to install it later today. I also just installed the Granatelli K-member and a-arms and coil overs. Also cc plates and Also a bumper steer.

Yea, I plan to in the near future. Run into a small snag. I'm putting the balljoint nut on and the x2 keeps spinning. How can I get it to stop so I can get the nut the whole way on?
