Alright so i'm thinking about doing a full Saleen body kit or just the rear bumper and wing. Is it reccomended that I go with Polyurethane? From what i've read I should but I thought i'd post on here just to make sure.

I don't know what's involved with the body kit but are you talking about bushings?

Having used composites for as long as I have with aircraft my first thought would be fiberglass, but I don't know what the norm is with body kits.

They have 2 different types of the kit. Its Polyurethane and I can't think of the other one right now.

Alright if I do end up doing this I'll buy Polyurethane. I'm thinking that once my car is lowered, already is but not that much, i'll be dragging that front bumper too much because the roads here are terrible, so I might just try and find an 99-01 cobra front bumper

But if my memory serves me right, isn't that pretty much like the plastic that the old camaros were made out of? Remember how warped those things look after a while out in the sun. Fiberglass would maintain it's shape a lot better, and god forbid, you get in an accident, glass is repairable fairly easily if you or someone you know knows how to work with it.

Possibly, but with a lowered mustang, I'd be more concerned about hitting curbs and other stuff and cracking the 'glass bumper to hell and back more so than getting in a wreck, in which case you're probably gonna need a new bumper anyway.

Go with polyurethane, you will regret fiberglass. Fiberglass doesnt flex, it cracks. Its plain out junk and bumpers should never be made of it imo.

Ok. I'm always open to suggestions. I stand corrected. Go with poly.
