Sticky tires would cut that time waaay down. It's the sucky 60ft times that are getting ya. It takes some practice to get a good launch down, but street tires plain out suck for launching our cars. I've dropped a second off my et with just tires.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of tires did you switch to?

For the newbies I'd recommend leaving the jack and spare in the trunk (keeps weight on the rear tires) especially if you're using street tires.

Taking out the front passenger seat consists of removing 4 bolts and is easy enough to do at the track.

Taking out the back seat is a bit of a PITA but can also be done while you're letting the car cool off.

The wiper blades/arms can be taken off in about 10 seconds. Probably not worth much but it is so easy you might as well do it.

If you've got good traction, I'd say removing the jack, spare, pkg tray, rear seat and front passenger seat is worth about a tenth of a second in the qtr mile.

Put a O/R Xpipe on it with a Axle back exhaust.. you will be amazed how much more power you will get..

Yea tires are a plus.. I had nittos 555r they were decent. Have to heat them up alot to get them to stick at the track..

Also get a 4.10 rear end gear.. with lower control arms..

Thanks for the advice guys...

Newb question...

was looking at having the flowmasters welded into the factory 2.25" catback to cut down on costs and just wondered if anyone thought the extra .25" would really make that much of a difference for the added cost of purchasing the full catback.
