I drive a 2008 Mustang GT, everything stock. I'd like to purchase 17" or 18" rims. Id like wheels that stick out an inch or so on the side. About what would I need to purchase for that?

Go with a wider rear wheel. As in 18x9 front wheels and 18x10 rear wheels.

I did take them off, I bought black ones to replace the silver, same with the bumper number but I haven't gotten around to putting them on. I haven't decided on new ones yet! I just finally got enough saved up to pick-up a set. I want to stray from the 7 spokers, I was actually looking at these:
20x10 2005-2012 Matte Black Niche Circuit Mustang Wheels (M110200065+40)
or something along the lines of this, I really like the multiple spoke design and I think it will compliment the lines of the Saleen kit.

, my new 99 GT 35th edition. I love it, I love the cobra bumper because I was planning on getting the bumper on any gt I could find, but I dislike all the Cobra emblems -_-. Anyway I love the rims

If you have that stripe widened, take the stripe off the roof, and have the paint go down into the grill area it'd look so good!
