To start I never thought I'd be a mustang owner......as I've always been one to desire something a bit more obscure/unique. I finally found a 3.7 MT to test drive and END OF STORY......in my driveway an hour later. I leveraged the hell out of them down to 21,600 w/ a free tint job.
Ford has done their homework here. This V6 is a work of art for the price.....and dare I say the hands down fastest car for the money I paid on the road. This v6 makes quasi-usable torque down low, but once the RPM's climb above 3.5k it's all grins. I'm very impressed overall, I'm glad ford retired that ancient 4.0L V6.
Only a couple gripes so far, albeit small.........a good size cup in the cupholders makes you reach in an awkward fashion for the shifter. 1-2nd shifts are very notchy and more difficult to engage than 2-3-4-5-6.
Overall, Kudos to Ford for making an entry level mustang that isn't simply a poor mans means to a mustang.

Disclaimer: Though I vehemently disagree with random street racing, a 350z was messing with me today. Took him by 1/2 length by 60 and a full length by 90. I'm curious what gears would have done to totally destroy him.

FYI, drove to see a friend 80 miles one way, car display read 32.3 MPG.

congratulations on the purchase, and color. my 03 has the cup holders in line with the shifter, and it annoys me on the way to work when i have my coffee mug in there, but its a small complaint. i guess that everybody is running 3.55 for DDs, because 3.73s are too much with the 6 speed. idk, the one i test drove was just crazy fun compared to my 3.8, so i would just do bolt ons then forced induction. then the gears would seem obsolete to me.

Congratulations!! 21K?! DAMN! I wish I could have gotten mine that low! But, I did buy my 2011 in 2010 when they were only a few months out of the manufacturer, and I don't regret the price I had to pay.

Going from stock gearing to 3.55s feels like a whole new car. So if you enjoy your car now...don't touch it, because you'll just start wanting more and more....

i paid 22,200 with all taxes included. But yea! Congrats on the purchase! Its fun to drive and even more fun to work on!

I knew during the test drive that those cup holders would be in the way, but then i put the pedal on the floor and decided that is a small price to pay.

I havent had a chance to race mine against anyone yet, but im going home to visit it in 2 weeks and cant wait to drive it again!
