short ram intake or cold air intake????? j/w

well their kinda the same thing unless u do the fenderwell cai

the fenderwell cai is the way to go bc the filter is pulling in air from the much cooler air inside the fender instead of inside the engine bay where the air is hot

i don't know what a "short" ram air is, but as far as ram air and cold air go, ram air will get you a few more horses, but is also alot more expensive than cold air due to the fact that in order to have ram air you need a new hood or need to cut a major hole in your hood in order to acomidate ram air, course if you have the money the go for it

well not where im lookin the cai is more than the ram air intake

ram air intake=215.96

cai =150.00

i don't know where you are looking for cia buddy, but if you just go down to your local napa or one of their competitors you can usualy find cia for about 50 bucks, and the ram air might be cheaper in the actual intake, but like i said before you will need a new hood which arn't exactly cheap, and whoever said that ram air is junk and its "just a V6", you have no idea what you are talking about, ram air can be great if you are going have a really beafed up engine without a supercharger or turbo, but for just starting out i would really recomend a cia for both price and because on a stock 6er ram air would only gain maybe 3 hp more than cia, if you want to just look online for cia, try summitracing.com jegs.com and ef you still can't find them cheap try ebay, you can almost always come across a really cheap one there

Lets get this out of our system now shall we?
- RAM AIR (as in the mach 1 shaker / trans am ram air hood)
Is only really effective at high speeds, but even then its not that effective. Somebody is going to use it to cool his m112 off now thats more effective to me than trying to gain power from it.

not true, it is both more effective at low speed and more effective at high speed than cold air, at low speed simply because it flows better than cia, at high speed because it is having more air forced into the engine

from what i know Short ram pushes more air into your engine which gives you more HP only thing is, is that a Ram intake sits in your engine bay so your not getting cold air.

CAI sits further away and is able to get the cold air altho since its further away it thakes that cold air longer to get to the engine

ram air is about as beneficial as a fenderwell cai. Plain and simple. It's more expensive, and is really only good for looks money wise, and still isn't worth that much.

Just get a fenderwell cai and you will be fine.
