That helps with an engine with forged pistons but if you have a stock rotating assembly I wouldn't worry about it too much. Plus it sucks working on a hot engine. What you're looking for is consistency across the board, probably around 150 in every cylinder. If you have one that's way off that would be your culprit.

Let us know what you get.

So you do a compression test with the motor cold and off? Or on? I want to do one soon just to see if my motor is healthy

It could be, but the passenger side is a lot easier to do then the driver side. Driver side has the master cylinder bullshit all right there.

nope, I wouldnt worry about those readings, nothing is way or major off.

Youd have been looking for like 110 140 140 140 137 135 etc etc

throw a cap full of trans fluid in there before you do it, see if anything changes

Good point. What would transmission fluid do? Just curious, Ive never done anything like that.

and it is on cylinder 3 that im getting the misfire on

How long would it take to replace the gasket
i Dont think its the HG. But if you have to do it, its gonna depend on your skill level. I can have the top end off one of these cars in 2-4hrs depending on if I have friends over and if the friends brought beer or not
