new Clutch Ram 88951 vs Advance auto parts Perfection clutch

So I bought this new clutch because my bearing was going bad...

My car has 103,000 miles...

(I bought this from a Ford Dealer here in houston texas. for 199.99 he suggested that I replace the bearing that comes in the ram kit with the Ford bearing so I did..

Ram Clutches 88951 RAM Mustang Clutches


Advance auto parts has this on sale "Perfection clutch" anyone ever use this brand?

First, stay the hell away from any clutch that says ADVANCE AUTO PARTS on it. Second, I don't like RAM, not here to argue about RAM I just don't like them.

If you wanna get a nice grippy clutch with a light pedal that is super reliable get in touch with ProMotion Trans in Fort Lauderdale and buy one of their 03/04 Cobra clutch kits that will hold all the power you need it to.

There's plenty of people on here that'll tell you the Ram is fine and they've had no problems. There's probably just as many who have had problems with them. I've known a history for the last 20 years of failures from aquaintances who have run Ram clutches..... that's not to say they suck it's just my personal opinion. I wouldn't run a Ram in my car.

My friend has a d1sc mach with a ram clutch, held up fine. He is getting a hellion single turbo kit now and he is keeping the same clutch. I have a spec stage 2 in mine, I love it. But I agree with bulloch on this one. Get the 03-04 cobra clutch kit, about the same press as a stock gt's and can handle around 500hp

i replaced tob, clutch fork, pilot bearing, and pivot stud with all frpp brand parts. no problems at all

Finally put in the Ram clutch... I really like it so far... it seems a lot more sensitive.. or maybe mine old clutch was just wore out.. I have 104,000 miles on my car... My throughout bearing literally had like 3 days left before it blew up lol....
