[Electronics] Ambient Lighting

I have heard some chatter about a device that connects to the ambient lighting system of the new mustangs that somehow make the light "pulse" or "beat" to the music. Has anyone heard something similar?

I have searched two sections of the forums as well as a few google searches and found nothing, so I appologize if this has been asked.

this is a new one to me.... maybe someone has insight on this. let's wait and see

A while back I was researching how to make LEDs pulse to the frequency of bass and I found some kind of part that you just splice between the main power source going to just the lights and it works. I am definitely a novice when it comes to the intricate electronic work but in terms of general wiring, grounds, and power I know basically enough. I am wondering if this is the same part they were talking about?
