OK I know the rpms on my window switch going to be a lil off but not damn near 2000 rpms how can i fix this,I HAVE IT SET @ 3300 on 6000 off but with the rpms so far off it shuts down too soon!

You're going to have to provide more information. How did you wire it? What brand is the window switch? Have you verified that it's set for 8 cylinders, not 6 or 4? What are you using for a tach signal?
I have the NOS 15982 brand window switch it's wired to the #8 coil white wire with red line and yes its set on 8 cylinders!

What is the rpm readout off by, and at what actual engine rpm? I.E. 3000 rpm on the display of the switch when the engine rpm is at 1000 rpm.
Yes you did i misunderstood you tho... I thought you were talking about the numbers under the rpm reading!
