Im not the dumba$$ kinda kid that thinks he has the hottest car on the block and will push his and the cars limits just to show off. I respect the things i work for. Ive been working for over a year for this car and plan on driving normal. I know that since im just getting my license, im not the best driver, but im not a stupid driver. So hopefully i wont get into an acciddent whether it be my fault or someone elses fault. My dads also a truck driver, and he always tells me to watch ahead and be ready for what could happen. Im gonna take it slow and hope for the best. and nice car btw zip.
smart kid, goodluck with your car man

Good stuff man. Small world, I'm also a truck driver. lol

Yeah I hear what you're saying there, and I understand. I just remember what I was like when I was 16 and had fast cars. Oh god, it's actually happened - I'm one of those old dudes. lmfao

You be good young fella! *waves fist* :lmao

Thanks for the nice words Chuck :)

Zip, the only thing i dont get is how ur on all the time, my dad is only home a few days a week depending, sometimes hes not home for about 2 weeks, sometimes hes home every night, he usually does long hauls though, what do you do? And btw, even if you consider yourself an old dude, at least you drive a killer car.

lol.

I'm fortunate, for a trucker, anyway, in that I have a job that gets me home every week, for two days a week, usually 2 1/2. Not 1 day a week, or gone for two weeks at a time, or more. I had my fill of those days many moons ago, and I like it this way. We also change our start time every three months, and sometimes just the way it works out I am home for 4 days straight, which has been the case here the past few days. I Start my week tomorrow and won't be on again until Sunday night or Monday morn. Although occasionally I get to kill a little time here from the terminal at work if we have to wait for a trailer to be loaded.

Believe me though, in the 4 1/2 - 5 days I'm on the road, I'm putting in anywhere from 60 to 80 hours a week. We just never stop. :)

i know the hours you talk of, i went with my dad a while ago on an oversize load through new york city, fun, fun, fun. He works hard though, he once pulled 114 hours in one week, i call that insane work ethic. hopefully i can one day work at least partially as hard as him and ill be set.

You definitely sound like a smart young man. Yer old man should be proud.
