Has anyone installed a bass in the trunk of their stang? If so what sizes fit best and what negative effects do they have specifically on the Mustang. Rattling, etc.

I'm going to argue with a guy telling me my car doesn't 'meter high'. Do you have any clue what a Type X can do? Obviously not. Do you have any clue what an FNQ component set is? Doubtful, obviously. I posted you the exact links, and anyone with half a brain can see the speicfications of what this system can do. But that's fine, I know what it can do, and that's all that matters at the end of the day.
And by the way, although this system will blow waves of air past your head, it was not built for SPL. Who cares about SPL? It's SUPPOSE to be about sound quality. If I wanted SPL I would have went with 12's.

damn bro it sucks that u think the xploids suck b/c everyone around me thinks they sound great!! i guess everyone is right that u can't say anything w/ out giving critisism!! my subs hit harda s hel.. i don't care what YOU say... when the guy installed everything for me and turned them on at the minimal bass allowed by the amp dust and **** was fallin from the 20ft high garage ceiling!!! so u can't tell me that they don't hit hard!!!!SSStang said:

yeah but i'm not just going on what i'm saying or what i like... other people have told me that they love my system... hits just hard enough and still have the good sound quality!!! so thats what i'm sayin...

in a few more checks ill take take pictures of the setup im working on now
i havent decided on a specific product yet, but basically one or two amps mounted to the back of seats, my capcitor is mounted to the back of the box, two batteries also mounted between the seats and the box, then four 12's in my lil bitty mustang trunk.

on the whole subject of distortion....
I know what distortion sounds like on a regular speaker, but I'm really new to the sub world.
when I turn it up loud, my sub buzzes a lot, it's just like a vibration as if it's physically hitting itself against something. it matches the sub's movement perfectly, not only do i hear the vibration but i can also see it, the cone just moves back and forth really quickly...almost as if it doesn't have enough room to move or something.
is that just distortion? or is there something actually wrong with my sub. I just wouldn't have thought that my sub would ever distort since my amp is only 100 watts RMS and the sub is rated at 500 RMS, so it should easily be able to handle the amp's output...that was my logic anyway. someone care to explain?
