This part goes between the brake pedal and the hydraboost connecting rod. What exactly does it do and how important is it. I had to fab a connector up because the v6 brake pedal is different than the v8s and doesn't line up exactly with the rod. So I couldn't put this back where it came from. Can I just not use it?

that's for your brake lights, you're gonna need it. lol

and yeah, when my buddy and I did his 3.8 to 4.6 conversion we were told the pedals were the same, until I tried installing the brake for the booster onto the pedal. he was mad that he couldn't go drive his car cause we had to wait a few days to find a set of pedals haha.

Well it looks like that little piece I fabricated won't get used then. I'll just take the whole pedal assembly from my donor car. Reps for you guys. Thanks
