I'm deployed and return in acouple months and upon return I want to surprise my wife by getting her mustang's hood painted that has afew large chips in the paint. I'm wanting to drop her car off on a friday afternoon and pick it up on sunday if possible that way she will have for work. Is this enough time you think to have a hood painted and what do you think it would cost on average? Thanks

When i had my 05 GT i wanted to have a shop matte black out my hood, i called all over and the price ran from $300-$450 and they could do it in a days time. I never actually did it, but just thought you would want to know.
PS I dont know if a matte black paint job is cheaper or more $$ then regular paintjob though.

Just call around,though we are apparently not having a winter here in the south this yr, the paint shops tend to have less business. Just remember you get what you pay for. But it could easily be done in a weekend
