Well I got to drive it last night. Drive it about 2 miles, and then spent the rest of the night working out bugs. I'm having a problem with my shifter. It's letting me pull it from 1st all the way to high, which can cause problems on the track. The thing that's really pissing me off is the slip yoke. It's leaking transmission fluid around the freeze plug that's in the end of it.

If I can get the shifter figured out, I'm going to the track tomorrow. We purged the nitrous thru the motor last night, and everything works.

After fighting a lot of issues I got to make some passes. It went faster in motor than it did with the 4 speed (11.36), and that's after taking the 4.10s out and installing 3.73s. I'm happy abut that. By the time we got most of the bugs worked out, the track was about to close, so we just threw a bottle in and only had 700 psi bottle pressure. It was kind of hiccuping at the end of the track so I let out early and coasted to a 10.71@121.

Excuse the camera operator. He gets a little excited about going slow.

Here's how the cage turned out, seat, and harness turned out. Too bad something happened and completely wiped the thrust bearings, to the point it ruined the crankshaft :( . Right now it appears it's due to a blockage in the trans cooler. Regardless, the motor is apart.

Yeah, it's pretty frustrating. I'm hoping it's a trans cooler blockage, like I said, because right now I don't have a better explanation. I did start it up, and check the pressures before I pulled the engine. I had 65 psi going into the cooler, and 30 coming out of the cooler.

The guy at PA told me that would not cause the converter to press forward againg the crankshaft, leading to the wiped up thrust bearings, but every other professional transmission builder I've talked to says that BS and that's exactly what happened.
