Ok so i have a 92 lx 5.0 and i have a semi build 94 cobra motor.. Now what do i need to swap it in?? Wire harness? I know everything else will just bolt right in just need to know what ill need to have it all up in running right

Is the motor complete from intake to oil pan ?

To make it go smooth, switch all your accessory from the foxbody over. Used a fox body throttle body.

If you have the sn style intake with the curved neck, im not ure what you would need to do in order to keep it and use the SN throttle body. It maybe as easy as using a SN throttle cable im just not sure if the tps sensor and iac are the same or have the same plug conection. But for the most part it shouldnt be much different

You could also find an explorer top intake piece.
That should pretty much solve any issues you would run into if you used the sn95 cobra upper.

The maff i believe you can use, i cant remember if the electrical plug is the same, if not you can buy it on ebay for cheap and splice it in.

Does the intake have the curved neck ?

I dont believe your throttle cable will be long enough to reach the throttle body throttle spring thing...Im not positive but I just went through that with my 2.3 to 5.0 swap. My throttle cable was to short and I had to remove it from the pedal (pain in the a** to get to) and motor and put the longer 5.0 one in.

You should be able to use the cobra maf but the plug on the end may be different and will end up having to splice some wires together.

Idk why you wouldnt be able to use the cobra tb...its the bend in the cobra upper intake thats the prob. with the throttle cable not reaching.

Youll more then likely need something from the computer/motor/wiring harness so if you have it available you should have everything you need.

You might need the computer for the cobra as well, or yours will need to be retuned. Not sure...

The cobras came with 24 lb injectors so you will either need the cobra computer, or have your computer tuned for the 24 lb injectors or get an after market maff such as pro m thats calibtated to the 24 lb..... or just put your stock 19 lb injectors in.

I agree with 95 opal.

Again..... these are your choices

1. Get a cobra computer, wich is already programed for 24 lb injectors
2. Your stock computer is programed for 19 lb injectors, option is to have it reprogramed for 24 lb
3. Buy an after market maff , programed for 24 lb injectors. ( what that does is... tricks your stock computer into thinking its running 19 lb )
4. Or just put the stock 19 lb injectors in. ( 19 lb injectors are good up to around 270 horse power )

Pick one and go with it

You have to used the lower with it.

What we were trying to tell you is you may have to use a upper cobra intake from a fox body. The difference between a SN cobra upper and a fox body cobra upper is the neck of the intake is not curved.

Not to use your stock upper

Yea sorry just found that out.. Im new with stangs so bear with me
