no i didnt correct the speedo. it doesnt bother me to be honest i never wanna sell this car anyway so mileage thing dnt bother me. please lemme know how it feels after u plug it in. im curious to hear about it
Well, I got the tuner in. Didn't get the USB cable that is "supplied", but no biggie, got 2 or 3 of em layin around. I loaded the "performance" tune with 89 octane, which is the highest octane available unless I drive 25-30 miles to a station, and all I will say is WOW! Surprised the shat outta me!
I did NOT do a "drag race" test run. I started off normal, shifted to 2nd, let it idle a second or two, then accelerated rather quickly, but didn't slam it to the floor, it felt quite different! Squalled the tires all the way to about 5000 rpm, which is where I let off at. It would not do that before unless I hammered down from a dead start, it would squall about half way through 2nd with the 275/40/17's on it.
I am COMPLETELY satisfied with the performance gain. What I was NOT satisfied with, is the fact that I still need my IAC restrictor plate (gasket). I always heard that a tune would correct it, but it did not. I contacted BAMA, and they said it doesn't fix it, to put my restrictor back in. No HUGE problem, but I hate the restrictor. It corrects the idle MOST of the time, but drops the rpm TOO much for smooth shifting, for my taste.
Overall, get the tuner. You will not be unhappy!
