Think this be good for new and really any mustang people wanting to know which style supercharger be best for them all way around. What style supercharger you think is best and why? whether it be cause of power, gas mileage whatever...begin!

Twin Screw, period. I love mine. The instant off-idle torque feels amazing and the flatness of the curve is amazing. Ive driven all 3, the centris i didnt like becasue of spool time, the roots werent very consistent at the track for back-to-backs because of heat. The centri i drove was a v-2sq on a 99gt, and the roots was a termi. The roots have the same feel, but i hate the power drop off after some good runs. Whats also fun is Nitrous cars, the instant power and on-off ability i love for a strictly street car. Turn it off and its the same car you bought, turn it on and its an animal.

Other than driving, the whistle from centris is annoying to me, BOV sounds good, but the constant whistle get annoying after about a week of driving. roots and twins are generally quiet until the scream at WOT.

Very good thread. I need help deciding whether to go with a procharger F1a or Kenne Bell when it comes around to doing my supercharger in about a year. Advice would be great! From what the shop told me id buy the kit at the kenne bell will be about $500 cheaper but then I will need to buy other parts from a cobra to make it work. Can anyone tell me what exact parts I need?

I have only driven a positive displacement blower. It has great power and it has it in the entire power band.

Honestly though, If I had it to do over again I would have gone turbo instead. You can get just as much boost but you don't have any parasitic loss or power loss from belt slipage.

nice, but not an option here

^LOL. I would only have twin screw hands down. I love the on demand boost and any rpms. And the whine they produce is heavenly!lol

Depends on the kit you buy, but you will need a MAF, Injectors, another fuel pump, BAP and other little odds and ins, i dunno what shop you are talkin to now, but you need to talk to Fastlane Motorsports in Benson, they did all my tuning, and have an amazing reputation. Best shop in NC, hands down. Well worth the drive.

Reason i say that, is all the extra parts your going to need, almost none of them will come from a cobra. some could, like the tank and fuel hat, but there are more cost-effective routes than that.

Yes i have heard of fastlane they actually just built my engine in my car that i just got back monday ha. I think i want to go with a kenne bell and was trying ot get some advice from here. I may possibly install it myself when it comes aruond to it and have Fastlane tune it for me.

is this sticky worthy?
Are you disliking the blower type choice you made or something? The best answer is There is no BEST supercharger they both have their pros and cons its up to the individual, what one likes and what one is willing to pay. Just like there is no Best exhaust setup its up to the individual, what they like, and what they are willing to pay. this is extreme but the top two fastest production cars the Bugatti and the Koenigsegg the Bugatti obviously runs turbos and the Koenigsegg ccx ran a ford modular v8(4.7l) with two Centri blowers on it. There is no best is up to the individual.

I was curious and wasn't sure thats why I asked.

All depends on your driving style, and what you intend the car to do for you.
