ok I know this has probably been beat to death but installing a vortech v1 and i went away from the stock kit and made it a blow thru set up and now i am having trouble figuring out where to run the hoses off the valve covers. i know on the kits intake pipe is where the instructions say they go but different for the blow thru right? I also bought the piping to make my own power pipe so there are no connections on it. I hope what im asking makes sense theres 3 hoses 2 from the passenger side went to the tb and the other went from drivers side to the cai. Thanks for helping

a catch can is just a seperate unit, u just run ur pcv lines to it and mount it.somewhere in engine bay. I just ran breathers, its cheaper and don't harm nothing, just gota clean ur engine bay every once in awhile

so reconnect the IAC after the maf and just vent both valve covers with breather filters? drilling a hole after the maf and using a rubber gromet for the IAC works fine?
You can use filters but sometimes it makes a mess. A vented catch can keeps things clean. As for the iac be sure to have the bung welded or use something threaded with a good sealant so it does not leak or blow out

No, once in boost you will blow the hose out. It has to be clamped down.

The vortech kits only seems to address the drivers side pcv which used to connect to the intake piping just before the throttle body. This connection would not see vacuum.

What about the passenger side that runs to the upper plenum? Without a blower this connection would see vacuum and help to draw suction on the valve cover (unless i have my thinking backwards), but with a blower now it has boost.... Looking at it, it looks like i am going to pressurize my valve cover unless the pcv only flows one way. Should the upper plenum be capped and both pcv run to a can?

@OP. Running to filters is messy and will not pass emmissions.

Yes u cap and run both lines to catch, ur essentially makeing ur pcv system a stand alone system and venting it to atmosphere, they either need to be both ran to catch can or both hooked up, u can't have one hooked up and one ran to catch can/breather or u will b pulling unmetered air

Running the breathers ain't as messy as u think, I gotta wash an oil mist off engine maybe every 2 weeks, its not like ur dumping oil all over ur engine unless u got wicked blow by but catch can is diff the most better option

U don't shut them off in a tune, u just plug up nipple on manifold and run lines to catch can, as long as all holes r plugged ur ecm won't throw a code
