damn there are alot of good ideas what to do here ive got a couple of ideas on what im going to do
theres alot you can do to keep up with ls1's or beat them but id say the easiest and most reliable way is to get some good internals and spray the hell out of it lol.One thing we have going for us is the weight of foxbodys generally 100lbs = .10 faster

My vote is for 408. Lsx Foxbody is badass, and on my list.. but there are plenty of videos of stroked 351's that move out nicely! Sorry if I missed why this was brought up once??

Ive swapped 5 foxes, 2 rx7,2 1500 pickups,1 4x4 s10
You left one thing out of your list, the bypass for the passlock. Either HP tuners, or buy/build the circuit to send the 50hz signal on the fuel enable wire. I found a schematic online to build your own circuit for about $8 in parts from radio shak that worked very well.

Got any info on doing the 4x4 s-10? I've done a 240sx and in the process of a 300zx. I have a 96 s-10 with a blown 4.3 and a spare LS motor sitting around that I've been thinking of doing the swap with. Heard the front axle makes the oil pan tricky on the s-10 without a body lift.

yaa you need to notch the factory truck pan and have it welded. that way no lifting is required. i figured it was a given he was gonna have the motor tuned thats why i left out passkey my bad lol but ya the 4x4 s10 swap isnt bad just the pan also grab a bravada t case and front axles the AWD parts are stronger cuz your gonna eat the front axle and its a bitch to replace with the motor in

So that's just a full-size pickup pan? Happen to have the measurements of the cuts handy? I haven't played around with a 6.0 yet so I don't know if it makes a difference if it's a 5.3 pan or a 6.0.. Or are they the same pan? Either way, thanks for the tips and the pic, that just may be the push I needed to do the swap, lol. I just yanked the 4.3 the other day and have been debating what to do since.

every truck pan is the same. no measurements i eyballed it and test fit the motor about 5 times until i got 1/4 inch clearance all around then pulled it and welded in the filler panels really wasnt that bad 5.3l and 6.0l are externally identical only difference is bore size even the crank and rods r interchangeable. you can even make a 302ci lsx using a 4.8l crank and rods with 6.0l pistons in a 6.0l block with the right rod bolts ive seen one rev to 8500 with only arp rod bolts and coated bearings ;p
