So I am trying to get rid of that annoying beeping that goes off when you don't wear your seat belt. I've heard of people just breaking the speaker so I need to get in behind the gauges and can't figure out this dashboard. If anyone has any experience with this let me know.

P.S. and don't just give me the dad answer of "if you wear your seat belt it goes away" my seat belts a pain and doesn't retract all the way

That speaker is in the cluster I wouldnt try to find and break it you could end up messing up a cluster for a beep and another thing is your air bags will not work if you dont have somethong pluged into the buckcle

wrong. the air bags will indeed go off even if theres nothing pluged into the buckle...

why is the thread called dashboard removal if its about how to shut off the chime for the seatbelt?

I advised AGAINST doing this because you should always wear your seatbelt, but for the sake of knowledge...

This is in the car manual and will turn off the chime.

1. Disconnect the seat belt, turn the engine off and shut both doors. Turn the ignition to "Run" (don't crank the engine).

2. Wait until the seat belt light on your speedometer cluster turns off (approximately one to two minutes). Connect and disconnect the seat belt three times, ending with it disconnected.

3. Turn your headlights on, then immediately turn them off. Connect and disconnect the seat belt three times again. The seat belt light will display for three seconds; when it turns off, connect and disconnect the seat belt again.

Seatbelt chime is easy to shut off. now i wanna knowbhow to shut off the key in ignition chime when the door is open

JMod (I went through your writeup...Here) looks complicated for a daily driver to perform in one weekend... Is it worth it?

and what exactly is the stall mod (links anywhere?)

With that write up, you should be able to do it in a days time if you buy everything needed before hand.
I thought the same thing, was nervous to do it at first. Was easy as hell though !!!

Got my stall from here:
Performance Torque Converters | RevMax

They dont advertise, just rely on buyers to spread their name to save money, which is why they are so much cheaper. I did lots of searching across forums, LS1 forums had some great reviews and many other did too. So with all that I felt comfortable buying from them.

I had the engine out when I put the stall in, so it wasn't to hard at all.
To put it in, you can either pull the engine or pull the tranny. Ive never pulled the tranny before, so Idk how hard that would be, the T5 in my 94 came out pretty easy. I hear an auto isn't hard to pull either. Personally I dont thing pulling the engine is to hard, but you need a lift to do that and most people dont have an engine lift laying around :p
