Pd is kenne bell, whipple, eaton, saleen, roushe, magnacharger, tvs, ect

Depends though. Your top fuel are pd but a totally different animal. Turbos are coming into the drag scene more and more now

Everyone is correct. But, if you are running a stock bottom then, in my opinion, either a turbo or centri is the best option because of the high end power and less low end torque. I was surprised at your options. A V3 (perhaps non-intercooled) and a turbo. What about a ProCharger? Vortech's only appear to be less expensive because they do not have an intercooler. You can get a complete ProCharger kit for around $4,000 new. Used are less expensive.

procharger is a complete kit but its also 4500bucks, I got my v3 si-trim tuner kit and everything else brand new for under that
Shelbydog, just bought a complete new kit for $4,000. That included fuel injectors, intercooler, chip, and fuel pump. Of course that is more than a non-intercooled Vortech tuner kit which doesn't have everything. But, you get what you pay for. I paid $4500 for a brand new 3 core system. The kit had everything except spark plugs. I didn't need to buy anything else. Most people who want to upgrade the Vortech to an intercooled systems need to buy the intercooler, additional piping, MAF, and of course get a new tune. That is a lot of additional cost.

Vortech's are not less expensive.

the maf is not needed and you can stay draw through when going with an intercooler and the complete intercooler kit that ppl have been running cost like $300 and some shops charge like $175 for a retune.

Come on Eagle this vortech vs procharger and cost of the two argument is had like monthly on here. Im gonna need you to post up the link of the $4000 procharger kits for the sake of info and the ppl who may possibly want one.

this seems to be the norm for procharger kits brand new http://www.americanmuscle.com/procharger-highoutput-9904gt.html

I didn't buy it. Shelbydog did. I bought my ProCharger a few years ago.

Yes, it is almost monthly. And all of the Vortech drivers want to compare apples to oranges.

Edit: You do realize that ProCharger doesn't allow price competition between dealers, but if you actually call a dealer you will get substantial discounts over list. If I remember correctly, I got a $700 discount just by calling. That was well below their advertised price.

give or take but everyone is on prochargers nuts cause it is a "complete kit" the v3 si-trim competes if not beats the prochargers p-1 and stage II's

Are you saying you wouldn't run procharger unless its a D1 sc?
sounds like it to me too?

procharger is nice but they are much more expensive.
A non intercooled V3 tuner kit is 2700
389 for maf
269 for injectors
I have fuel pump already
400-500 tune
$3358 without a tune
$3858 with a tune..

even if i got a procharger kit complete I would get a custom tune.
4500+500
is $5000 for a car that isnt that obnoxiously fast :lol

$3358 without an intercooler and you already had a $200 fuel pump. $4,000 with everything. It depends on what you want. I will gaurantee this: with the re-piping and the re-tune you will spend more for the "cheap" Vortech system than a ProCharger...
but, not everyone has the up-front money so the Vortech is a good deal.

man your in virginia it dont get that hot I ran my v3 non intercooled for awhile your still gonna double your hp, then just save for a intercooler set-up if you cant swing it all right now like I did.

But I belive a V3 is my best bet.. i really dont want to tap my pan but I found a smoking deal on a intercooled V1 with a Big race BOV and procharger intercooler.
