Sup guys, I put my louvers on awhile ago with the double sided tape that came on them and my corners popped off, so I got emblem glue and put them on 2 days ago and now my corners are coming undone again. It rained today hard could that be it? Any ideas on how to get them to stay on permanently? Thanks I need some help

Did you clean the area with the alcohol wipes first? Also what kind of lovers are they?

Auto zone has a really good double side tape. I think it's 3m. It's black with the red plastic on it. And make sure you put it on in the hot sun. That wy it sticks better. If you can't get it on in the sun then don't drive it until you get a chance to let it sit in the sun. Water will not matter when it's put on the right way. I have the roush ones that have 3 metal brackets that stick to the glass and car so there is only 3 little pieces that hold mine on an they never gave me a problem.

When I put them on it was like 90 all day. But I didn't take the old tape off, yes I cleaned the windows good. Not sure what kind got as a gift but if you check my other posts I put pics of them

You have the ones that only cover the window area. Mine go around the window. You have alot more tape surface then I do since mine is just 3 little 1 inch pieces. Just go get the
Good tape and be done with it. It cost $8-10 from auto zone and it's plenty to have left over

Get the 3m tape make sure the surface is clean and wipe with alcohol. You have to use the adhesion promoter on the 3m tape I have put on several sets and the promoter is the most important step.

Make sure you push them down for 10 seconds once you have them on.

I had a shop put mine on my new car and they are not on as good and It looks like they skipped that step.

I do it with my cell phone !

I had the same problem with my roush louvers. I had a shop put them on and they won't come off now at all I am happy now. Clean the paint surface with the alcohol wipes then when you put the louver on they pressed on it for a minute then used a heat gun to make it really stick.

Pope, I love my louvers and when I was in Miami noticed they really helped keep interior temperatures down in my black pony during those long 95 degree afternoons.

I recommend you try this too: after you clean the window, put on the new 3M tape, and let the tape set for at least 12 hours, take some electrical tape and cut it into pieces about 4 or 5 inches long. You will need 4 pieces for each mounting bracket. Use these pieces to make a square on the window around each bracket, but leave about 1/8th of an inch around each bracket because what you are doing is making a dam around each bracket. Now take some clear silicone and make a generous bead in that 1/8th of an inch space. Take your finger and run the silicone bead over and around the bracket and onto the window and this will make you a nice watertight seal around each bracket so your resistance to moisture will be much greater. Let the silicone become semi-dry (no more than half an hour) and then take up the electrical tape slowly so it doesn't take up the silicone with it. Let the silicone dry completely and then mount your louver and you are set! Small bead of silicone won't be visible to you or anyone but it will serve its purpose to protect your double stick tape from moisture.

This worked well for me and I have had my louver on for a year with no problems so far. Good luck!..... Ken :)

I don't think his has brackets. His look like the ones that stick right to the window. I har the roush that have brackets and screws to hold them on but I don't think that's his case.

Just get the good 3m tape and you will be fine.

Make sure you use adhesion promoter it is what keeps it on there when it is hot. Trust me I am in az and I have a hoodscoop sidescoops and rear louvers I have taped the crap outta my car but it looks good.
