I just put together my own top-end kit.

Comp cam, roller lifters, duable roller timing chain.

Trick Flow 1.6 RR.

Edelbrock 1.90 E-Street aluminum heads, Performer 2 intake.

ARP head bolts.

Ford racing engine gasket kit.

Canton EFI polished aluminum valve covers, to clear the Roller Rockers.

What do you think? :)

The parts aren't all here yet, and none of them are in yet. But I do have a loud exhaust, ever since I put in the BBK ceramic shorties, catless MAC pro-chamber mid-pipe, and Thrush mufflers, not glass packs.

And the end of the mufflers is all the rest of the exhaust :) hehehe

I would pick up some better heads than those. TFS or AFR, would be the two I would pick from.

Just do a search over at corral, that should tell you if it is a common issue or if it is a one and a million.

Which Comp Cam are you going with? You didn't specify. I had heard the E-Street head didn't come with roller springs & you couldn't machine them either!

Yeah, in that thread some reputable people said those springs are barely adequate for the stock roller on the e-streets, they are more aimed at flat tappets. By the time you get new springs it wouldn't be worth it anymore. I wonder if they sale those heads bare, that might be a better way to go.

Do you mean "sell"? I never got what was confusing about the words sell and sale....

Sale
Sell
Sail
Cell

Ok, I looked it up. Sale is a noun, Sell is a verb. You're right, I meant sell. I'm usually pretty good at grammar and spelling but this one does confuse me honestly.

Why does America use stuff that's so confusing like the funky English language and the standard system of measure.

Cause' we gotta be different and pains in the ass...That's just my opinion though, lmao.

The cam is a comp cam XE264HR
Good choice on a nice street cam. A few years back me and my stepson put the XE264HR 112LC cam & Performer 5.0 heads on his stock 1990 short block with a ported Explorer intake 65mm TB & spacer, etc. Excellent street car with great drivabuility & plenty of power!
