03 Cristian. You should be fine for now, as far as injectors go... But I need to expand on the Cams idea that is being thrown around. Just in case you are debating more agressive Cams. As I believe you should know what you're getting into (even if you are already aware of these things).

Not only would you need bigger injectors, but you would most likely require a higher stall converter, as it sounds like you have an automatic. Agressive Cam + Stock Converter = Horrible Idle. Higher stall converter = Higher Transmission temperatures, so you would need a trans cooler. Coolers arent expensive, but decent converters are! Long story short, do some extra research before jumping into the Cams. As there are always persons on here willing to help.

Either way, nice car!!! I am looking to get the Roush Fascia myself!
thanks for the advice and the compliment, i'm in the process of selling or trading it for an 03/04 cobra bumper

I need a wife who don't steal all my money hahaha JK!

But let me know your numbers sixer. I want to see what my car would have roughly made when the old motor ran.

Is yours a 5spd or a auto?

mike has a full exhuast so even though it doesn't give little to any hp/tq sense hes cammed it also supports the cam and might even get a little more out of it plus hes got bigger injectors id like to some how go to the drag strip with you and just race it out for shits and giggles

haha that would be sweet to just see how they compare. I need to tear my old motor apart to get my cam and lower intake off it. And ya racing would be a little far of a drive your in NY and I am in North Dakota haha. I have full exhaust with LTs true duals, hi flow cats, and straight through mufflers and mine is a 5 spd as well. I look forward to seeing your results also am interested if bigger injectors are needed or not.

EDIT: Looking at your time you would prolly take me. Back when I was on factory tires with the cam ported lower, and full boltons with windstar upper I ran a best of 15.2 at 96MPH with a 2.2 60'. I wanted to go with those same mods on my new 17X10.5 tires but never got a chance the motor died. I need to get my cam and stuff in so I can go to the track with them I want to pull a 1.9 or right around there 60'. I got tokico blues, j and m lcas now so we will see. I have a set of half ported heads I got to finish that I want to throw on as well.

Ya I got glass packs. I know everyone hates on them and they sounded kind of gay but I got them way before this forum.

They sounded terrible I had my cam with LTs and no cats. It sounded mean at idle but like pure crap off idle. I put some hi flow cats on and they sound much better. I have never heard flows in person on a v6 so IDK. I would like to try them and may down the road but right now I just need to get my cam back. I am having withdrawls from not having a sweet idle and more power!!!!

My froend has 18" galss packs.with an x.pioe and.hi flows....and i bet on a vid it would sound like **** but i gotta tell ya aounded relatively good.....no matter what exhaust we havw its generally rasly up way top but its not bad
And rkght now.my.flow 40s sound like every typical 40s but mine is louder...duh lol cant wait for hi flows....mabey just do slp h pipe i dont know lol

Ya a v6 is always going to have an odd sound at higher RPMs.

What do you mean?

haha oh well.

And ya mine don't sound too too bad. I want to hear some flows in person with a similar setup as mine so I can see if I want to spend more money and buy new mufflers.

Right now I have a different motor in it I got it has 100k on it which is about the same my other motor had. I have a windstar upper with LTs, UDP, CAI, tune, dual exhaust, 3.73's and tlok. That is performance wise.

Before I had all that plus the comp max street strip cam, ported lower with IMRC's removed and the heads were just gasket matched about 1/2" in to match the ports of the lower intake.

My old motor I am going to tear down and see what is going on with it and possibly do a budget friendly 4.2 with some heads that I am going to port all the way and maybe run a tiny bit larger valve and the same cam.

Hey codename, when I port my heads will I need to buy anything else or do I just put the ported heads back in there?
And also should I remove the iirc on the lower intake? Also i'm getting a Cam from esg

Umm as far as the heads go I would probably have the guides checked for wear. A worn valve guide can cause lost hp in the valve train. Also you will probably want to have a valve job and the head surfaced. It will probably all toghether cost like 200 bucks or so to get all of that. Make sure to really clean the head and don't put the valves in until you have cleaned it because the metal shavings will get in the guides and score the guides.

And on the lower intake it is up to you. Really I don't think they restrict too much the first intake I removed them and it was a pain. You can leave them in and just port up to them and after them. And plus the ports that they are on are pretty close to the gasket line. If you do remove them you will have to have it tuned for that. It is all personal preference. I don't know the facts if you get actual gains from removing them or no.

And the cam you will need springs and retainers. Also you may need pushrods if it is a regrind. If it is a new cam you should be fine with your stock pushrods unless you have heavy spring tensions and lots of hi rpms.
