Before you all start to say how crazy or stupid I am for having that much power on the stock block, it was not my intention! I was just hoping for a safe, better power in the mid range, with about 500 daily peak tune. But apparently a 4 inch pulley still builds too much boost and I'm making way more power than I intended. I am going to have to get a bigger pulley.
I got to give my tuner credit. Shawn Ellis at SoCal Tuning & Performance..... Welcome Intro did an amazing job with the remote tune. I used a local dyno and Shawn took the info I data-logged and had the tune nailed in two runs. He still wants to tweak the tune some more but that was enough on the dyno. He has been tuning for years and I met him through a buddy with a TT Terminator with Nitrous that puts down over a 1000. Anyway, here is the graph.

cams must be the secret im missing.
A lot of people keep trying to tell me that my cams suck for boost, but I'm more than happy with the power its making with them.

Nice numbers I ran that pulley on my d1 and made 14-15 psi at 6200 rpm's, my first pull on the dyno laid down just over 560 rwhp, I had it tuned down to keep it safe

that is a lot of HP for 12 lbs of boost... now how you gonna get it to the ground...

It's more then 12 pounds. I had that same pulley on my old setup and procharger said it was good for 16 psi. I saw around 14-15 with the 4.00 pulley.

so Val, you are saying his dyno chart is wrong? thats where I got the number, well it is 12.09 on the graph

The dyno sheet didn't come up on my phone so I didn't get to see that my bad. I'm just saying iv had that exact same setup minus the cams and I was making more boost then him. But like 2 slo said he's probably loosing boost with those cams.

I also have Mac LT Headers and that also may be dropping the boost. As for getting it to the ground, that's a different problem. This morning after the dyno, it was pretty loose through second then grabbed really hard in third of course. It will just take more discipline on my part so I don't shred tires. 295s on the rear too!

Mac longtubes will drop 2-3 PSI.

You are living on the edge, but those numbers are awesome.

I would get a bigger pulley ASAP!!! Your non-forged connecting rods are now your main weak-link, and you may well ventilate your block (which might take out your heads and cams).

So not to thread jack but I keep wondering if you're in a situation like Kemp and don't have forged internals but you don't drive the car hard and baby it so to speak, what is the likely hood of something failing? I mean don't get me wrong I know anything can fail at any point in time.
Thanks for the knowledge in advance!

If he doesnt take it over 5k i would say it would last a while.

Im in SoCal and consider myself pretty big in the whole mustang/american car scene out here and I have never heard of him.

I still think the numbers are a little high... anyone else making close to 600 on 12 or less lbs of boost.. I am not calling the OP out on this but there are a few different ways to display the results in the livewire software.. the only real way to tell a cars true HP is at a dragstrip.. there isn't any way to fool ET... my highest dyno numbers were 550/610 (17 lbs)but my HP by ET/MPH is 588 on my best run... averaged about 545 over the 20 passes I kept track of... get your car to the drag strip and see what it does..

I could care less what the numbers are! That graph wasn't even from SCT Livewire software. The dyno was at a local chevy dealership here in AR and they don't even use SCT there. I just posted this to show what my car was able to put down with the mods I have. You're right, they are just numbers, but who are you to say that I might be making this up?

You're right man. since you haven't heard of him and you are "pretty big" on the GIANT SoCal Mustang scene, he must not be legit!

Thanks man! I do plan on getting a bigger pulley. I also planned on doing my short block this next spring. I am going to take it easy though till I get another pulley.

did I say you were making anything up? I don't think so.. I was mainly suggesting that the numbers were higher than most others at the same boost level which would translate to less chance of breaking something... and now that you mentioned it is a Bowtie dyno I know the numbers are wrong... j/k...
dude just chillax... you ever see me cause **** in here for real... this is an exchange of ideas opinions and information.. not accusations
