lowering springs

Im tied up in the middle of this right now, my advice...If you've never done it before, DONT start now. There are a few things on these cars that can really only be replaced safely (for yours and that of your car) by a mechanic. Some of these guys here will tell you its no sweat...Its a lot of sweat, and maybe tears. Dont do it yourself.

well my dad use to drag race professionally and was a mechanic so he is going to do it for me i just wanted to make sure i have all the parts to take with me when the time comes. that way i wont get half way through it and have to order something else.

I can understand lowering the springs if you are going to road race. It lowers the center of gravity. But isn't it counter productive to lower the back if you are going to drag race. We used to call it the California rake. The intent was to transfer weight to the back wheels during launch (we call it a hole shot but its the same thing).

That only really applies to a full time track car. For a DD and part time track car it's fine. It would never hurt his times.

I never put springs on before, but it was a walk in the park when I did mine. My only suggestion is to use some liquid wrench (the day before) on all the bolts you'll be working on. Good luck!!!!

i just put mine in like a month ago for the first time, it was really easy man and it was a pretty fun project but i cant stress enough GET caster camber plates...people might say its not a must but it is if you want your car aligned right, i only dropped mine like 1.25" and it still couldent be done right with out the plates
