08 Bullitt: Paxton 1200

I've been toying around with the idea of giving my Bullitt some more HP and torque. After going over parts and labor for everything that was suggested to me to get somewhere in the 360HP range (cams, headers, manifold, exhaust, throttle body), someone else recommended the Paxton Novi 1200 "Throwback" package from Brenspeed.

Basically it looks like If I can find a reasonable shop around town (Augusta, GA area), I can my car up to the 400HP range for as much, if not slightly cheaper than completely redoing the engine for only a moderate gain in HP.

After talking with the head tech at Brenspeed yesterday he said for 3800 you basically get a turn-key non-intercooled supercharger that you can use on a stock Mustang and upgrade as you go along.

Thoughts before I pull the trigger?

Thought would be save the install money and install it yourself, then just take that money and get the 2200 with the intercooler, or save the money and get a meth kit, you will get some heat soak with no intercooler, but a dude on here just went with that and made 410rwhp.. def a nice kit and it is going to be tons cheaper than staying N/A....I wish I would have just gotten a s/c instead of all the money I spent on bolt ons, could have easily gotten a nice s/c... but I think if it is in your budget pull the trigger, because you can always upgrade to an intercooler... smaller pulley..etc... good luck and keep us informed! Would love to see the difference!

If the OP was to go the meth kit route, with his mods, what is the HP gain? Base kits from Snow Performance start out at $400. I'm putting down 320rwhp with just cams and LTs so I might be interested in going this route if good bang for buck (and increase mpg they say).

He would prob be pushing 400hp running meth in some cases depending on the mixture and how much is being sprayed can equal or surpass race gas with 93 octane.

08redgt has headers, that kit, and meth and is around 452rwhp or something like that.. with your cams you will be even higher..

No, you could run that power all day, especially with a centri because you are not in boost all the time, people in the past have been at 525rwhp for a long time... its all in the tune
