Gear heads should be able to tune it..its just an n/a setup..whats ur compression? Ur in dallas so has alot of good ls tuners but only a few good mustang tuners...so u only have gear heads or hpp...of u can. Come to houston and get it tuned...but i dont see why gear geads wouldnt be able to do a decent job on tuning a n/a setup...

There's going to be bad reviews for every shop out there. But my personal exp with GearHeads was terrible. I've had friends that went there too and had to go other places and retune.

GearHeads did my long tube install. I'm two hours and it was my dd so I got there at 8am and waited in there showroom until 630pm. They finally got it done and told me to take it for a spin and see how I like it. I couldn't turn the car. At all. They put the k member back in where it where the steering shaft was hitting the long tubes and wasn't able to steer. By the time I made it back the shop was shut down and everyone was gone in that ten min. Sadly I paid before hand and only had the shops number. So I had to drive home in a very unsafe car and had to just drive like that until the shaft rounded out over time. I was unable to take it back to the shop due to work. They offered to fix it but fit a discounted shop time fee. Others had their cars tuned and by the time we got back (same city two hours away) the car was running like ****. Called and called and Travis said hell email a new tune. Took him a week to do so. And **** ran terrible. Took it to HPP and had it running great in a matter of an hour.

Dallasmustang tuned my 5.1 I do have to go back and finish tuning. I had bad parts and didn't bring enough cash. They are going to tune for free when I get a day off from work since I fixed the issues. Minor things like front o2's, pprv plugs and cops.

I would reccomend HPP over Dallas mustang, but they are both great shops. I needed the car tuned ASAP and dm had a spot open sooner so I went there. Plus dm installed my 4.10's and very happy will the results and customer service.

**** GearHeads. The only friend that was happy with his tune was with his 2010 camaro SS. All the mustang guys I know hated gh and 70% went to HPP

Don't run it too much untuned. When i put in my stage 2 cams before i had them tuned the car ran like **** and honestly sounded like it was doing damage to the motor.

Compression is around 10.8:1. Houston is a lot closer to College Station than Dallas. But there were too many mixed reviews on Houston Performance...dont really remember any other shops..
The reason for choosing gearheads is that another member here has a similar setup as mine and gearheads worked out for him after another shop gave him a bad tune.
It sucks to hear that u had so much trouble jumper...
I've been talkin to Travis at GH about my setup and he had some good recommendations and answered all my questions...he seems to know a lot. I've already made arrangements to get my car taken up there too. Hopefully the tuning will go smoothly. (i got every lil supporting mod i can think of).

Actually my engine sounded like **** too. It was scary. I had to run it long enough to check for leaks(cos i have a lincoln oil filter adapter thats a lil diffrent from the mustang) and to set the idle with the new throttle screw i put in to replace the jacked up screw that came with the throttle body.
I'm definitely not runnin her until dyno day!

Sounds like your trailering it?

If not, get a email tune of your going to drive it there. Gh will make you one. But I paid DDR 75.00 to email me one since I drove to dm

Hopefully you have a better experience than me with GH.

I'm definitely trailering it. I got new clutch, gears, n all the engine is all new except the block. I'm definitely not driving 300 miles on the highway without doing the break in process.

Houston performance is trash lol...

There is psi(the shop building my csr and the tuner tunes the big hp hennessy cars as the 1500hp ford gts, venom gt,1200 hp ctsv and camaros, etc) auto adrenalin(ehhhhh), strictly, fastlane, chris car doc,etc..

P
I would go to HPP as well, but no way would I expect a LT install to be done in a quick manner. Even by a shop.

I knew the install would take all day that wasn't the issue. The issue was they half asses the install and left while I was on a test and they left before I had a chance to bitch and make them stay late on a Saturday.
