Yesterday was my last race day of the season :( But I had a few tell me I was pulling the drivers front off the ground :D The car was launching pretty hard all day with a nicely prepped track, the da was about 7300ft for the day so I couldnt get lower than 12.5x's all day. Then after a long cool down I went to make my last run and the car launched HARD! But somehow my seat slider wasnt locked in and all of a sudden I slammed to the back seat and yanked the car outta gear  Not how I wanted to end the season lol but owell I guess. Anyway looks like I may have pulled the tire in this vid but its a bad angle, this was against my buddys h/c/i LS WS6 with 4:11's. I got em by 2 tenths so it was nice to settle that long awaited grudge match.

Just woundering how much power are u making? N what was ur 60ft. On ur best time

Yea it definatly felt like it did from inside the car.

Yea not bad for running on stiff ass Steeda competition springs. I think some drag springs would help out my 60ft quite a bit but I dunno if I wanna sacrifice my handling

Nice man! **** that DA! Lol. Thats insane. What does the car usually trap?

Also, whats your wheel tire combo? Clutch? And stock input shaft? Just curious, Im itching to use real tires. But really worried about my stock input shaft and centerforce clutch

Yea this altitude is killer, i was trapping 110 all day. This was on weld prostar big n littles with 28x10.50 ET drags. I broke my stock input shaft last time at the track and this was the first time down with my new Promotion built 3650 and 26spline centerforce dfx clutch.

Here's the result of my last track day..

The MT's also snapped an axle so if your not 31spline yet, that will be the first to go.

ET streets broke the axle, ET Drags broke the trans. Pretty similar tires though

I've broken a 31 spline axle on a Ford 9", but don't know how the 8.8's are comparison wise. Was thinking about installing my ET Drags but seeing this always makes me flash back to the last time I was racing slicks on a street car...

Most people around here run the 31spline 8.8 setups. They seem to be tried an true and willing to take a beating.

I ended up going on to a 35 spline Strange axle in my setup, never had an issue after that. I'm assuming that 28 spline axles are stock even in the s197 newer models?

They should be 31spline I believe. I bought my 31spline diff used out of an 05ish Stang, then just upgraded to the carbon clutch pack kit.

I was down there helping on Brandon's Heads up ugly Skyline, He is a pretty good friend of mine. I saw you but didnt get a chance to come say hi.
