Traded my 02 GT vert in for a 2007 GT Coupe. Now I'm new to the S197, so I've got a few of questions:
What's the average RWHP stock for these cars (5 spd)?
What's are people usually running the 1/4 stock?
I saw the Stickies at the top, but are UDPs and CMDPs worth the hassle? I have a friend who has both BNIB for $375 (both are Steeda). I would do both of these at the same time and get a dyno tune package for the install/tune. TIA!!

I would say 300hp at the flywheel so like 220RWHP im guessing but in my opp CMDPs are worthless for the most part, unless your trying to build a NA motor, their good for like 15-25 hp or thats what I heard so done quote me on it but I thought I saw it on the CMDP post but its not there :(

A lot of misinformation in the first reply.

A bone stock manual GT does about 265 rwhp on a dynojet.

UDP's and CMDP's add a legit 5-6 rwhp each.

Considering LT's are good for 15 rwhp, it's definitely worth doing UDP's and CMDP's for the 10-12 rwhp, considering they are less expensive and much less work to install than LT's.

Don't know about the 1/4 mile times.

Like I said dont quote me on it in my first post haha and I guess my math was wrong I could have sworn I did the drivetrain loss % correct.

13.01 STOCK??? That's moving!! Appreciate all the replies. I will be buying these, along with a used SCT tuner locally. And I never pegged these cars for 260-270 rwhp. Like I stated in the OP, I had a 2002 GT vert, which were rated 260 at the crank. I am ecstatic! I know this one feels just as strong, if not stronger, than the 02, even with the minor mods I had (see sig).

UDPs, CMDPs, gears, axle back, custom tune... Might be all I need for a while, performance wise. Going with a o/r H-pipe; suggestions for a deep growl (stock exhaust currently)? I love the tone I have now, if I could get the same tone but a lot louder, that would be perfect!

If you need a Cai man let me no I have a c&l racer intake I'm selling really cheap. $130.00 shipped. There 300 new. Only had it on for a couple months then I bought a procharger.

Thanks man but the car came with a K&N CAI already installed.

nice upgrade. the interior and suspension are probably the best parts about the 05+ compared to the new edge.

i'm sure you know you'll want a tuner to begin with. i personally don't think there is any reason to buy the expensive cmdp's when you can convert your stock plates for about 10 bucks and a couple hours of time.

as for 1/4 mile times you're likely to see anything from 13.6-14 at near sea level in stock form. this will depend on your driving abilities, weather, and track prep.

Recently put on some Borla Stinger axle backs, and the Mac LTs and were finished being put in yesterday. LOVE them! :D I'm in love with my car all over again! Highly recommended.
