Also, sucks to hear man but at least you found the parts for an affordable price and seem to be able to get the problem fixed rather quickly. Glad you're not getting stuck paying the amount Ford quoted you for diagnosis and repair.

The ford where I am at doesnt help people at all. They told me straight out I would be paying for the repairs myself plus diagnostics and everything. It would have been like $13-1400. Diagnostic alone was $89.95. So sticking with a take off $75 compressor is the best way to go.
Real sorry to hear this bud, but ive worked at a few dealerships myself as a tech and a service manager and i cant tell you how many good will considerations we have done for people that have had an issue like yours were the warranty JUST ran out and something went wrong. Ive never worked for a ford dealership so i dont exactly know how uptight they are about warranty, but i would definitely try to find another dealership or contact ford customer service and try to get some help, cause i have to tell you, im usually a calm and relaxed guy but if my warranty was only 700 miles past due and my a/c went out at 36k and ford told me "sucks to be you", i would become a nightmare for those people. However, ive noticed your car has 535 horsepower so its clearly not stock, i can say that this is probably hurting you with warranty, i know a/c has nothing to do with performance mods but dealerships will look for anything to void a warranty and keep their hands clean. This is not so much to be assholes but more along the lines of not having to deal with aftermarket issues if they run into any.

lol no its nowhere near stock. If i was back in Orlando I know the dealer there would have helped me. They have seen my mods before and didnt give me any problems about them since they saw they were installed correctly and looked good, versus some ugly ******* install. It just sucks that i am in Georgia and like Matt86 said, the Hinesville Ford here is the WORST

friends shop did it for me, took them like an hour if that

Doesnt kick it, makes noise when on, a/c blows air (not cold) when on, plus you can see the a/c compressor clutch guts coming out from the front of the compressor. looks similar to the rubber on your bumper after you do a burnout. But like I said, for $100 i couldnt pass up that deal for a complete new a/c compressor with everything
This exact same issue happened to me but I was lucky that it happened when I had 35,400 miles, was out of town when it happened. Scheduled an appt with the dealer and rolled up for warranty replacement at 35,995 miles. :) one wrong turn and by by warranty! They told me the compressor was totally destroyed and falling apart from inside out.

Glad you got yours straighted away for cheap.

atleast i know im not the only one now. my compressor went out at around 35.5k miles and i had it replaced under warranty with 35,960 miles on the car lol
