so sss, its not like its bad not to have a midpipe right? its not going to cuase problems or anything? i really think im just going to have a shop cut the y after the cats and just run it straight back to two flo 40s. i think i like the sound a better. is there a drastic power loss/ gain from not having the two crossover at some point like they would in an h or x? and it prob will be cheaper too cuz the shop will not have to fab a custom mid.

does anyone know if i can pass smog in CA w/o some sort of H or X pipe?

no, when i say midpipe, i a refering to something that crosses over, like an H or X pipe. in place of a midpipe, i want to parallel pipes that run staright back from the headers to the mufflers and do not crossover. i do not really consider it a midpipe cuz its two separate pipes. it will look like this... l l, instead of looking like X or H

ohhhh i seee

y didnt you say that from the start?

its implied well when you are talking about on a six... because they have a straight firing engine... and the gasses don't gain any benefit from crossing over or coming in contact...

he has an inline four so he doesn't know the workings of a v6 mustang...

no one expects you to go into the V8 section and know what PI parts are...

don't bash cause some one doesn't know ... tell them instead
