make a great daily driver.

seems a little slow to be honest
Dude...it's a focus. That's not bad for a focus. Besides, have you seen the immense amount of grip those things have? Top Gear had it out doing donuts in the rain and it was squealing and getting wheel lift. Pretty damn impressive if you ask me. If I didn't HATE fwd cars, I'd consider getting one. Also if I wasn't poor lol.

I bet it torque steers like an absolute pig though

To add on to what SteedaBrandon said, after reading the driver post about his runs on another forum he was revving the car out to redline, well after seeing some dyno sheets everyone including him agreed that times would be faster if he had shifted around 5500 since that is where there is a steep drop off in power.

Actually everything I am reading says the torque steer really isn't that bad since it has electric power steering Ford was able to use it to help counteract torque steer before it reaches the steering wheel. But I will give you first hand experience on how much torque steer it has Friday when I pick up my 2013 ST.

To be honest looks like its prob par with a 2v 99-04gt. Notice how he could chirp third. I bet with some good tires and more boost it def has potential.

I own a 2004 Mustang GT that's mostly used for driving to the dragstrip and running on the dragstrip, and a 2012 Focus for my daily driver.

My Focus feels like a turd (compared to my 11 second Mustang), but it is almost powerful enough to get around in, and it averages about 31 MPG which I think is terrific!

I was thinking that the the Focus ST would be a little faster at the top end of the qtr mile, but then again, these cars are not as light as one might think.

If I could redesign the Focus for my own likes, I would have it be available in a more compact 2 door version.

That they do, 4 days after I picked up my car I ordered the newly released SCT tuner for it along with a tune from Unleashed Tuning and it is a night and day difference, much much more power.
