Update 2: I think I found the hood I want from Boss. It flows nice with the curves of the car let me know what you think. http://www.bossincstyle.com/cs98.html

Update: What do you guys think about the Mach 1 hood? To ricey? 94-98 Mustang Ram Air Hood

Whats up fellas? Been a while. My situation is I want to get another hood so im thinking between the Termi or the Cobra R. Is there more clearance under the Termi hood than stock? If not ill probaply go with the Cowl induction Cobra R. I woukd like to keep the engine bay cool so i would think Termi w/ its heat extraction, but I also like the Cobra R just wondering if the raised cowl would help in this also.

Both the heat extractor and cowls (as long as they are vented in the back) are functional to some degree.

I would imagine the R is going to have more clearance than a Termi hood. I wasn't even aware that there was a termi heat extractor available for the 94-98 body.

I use a Saleen heat extractor and it offers both additional clearance and good venting of the engine bay. They are hard to find though.

Yeah Cervini makes them. Your right the real Saleen HE hoods are hard to find. I know Harwood makes them but the vents arent open just like most of the aftermarket Saleen hoods. I wish they made a hood simillar to the 2013 mustang hoods with the vents on the sides. I was just wondering on the clearance of the Termi hood becuase of the sc on the Termi. I would prefer the Termi hood becuase its sleeker.

i have the cobra r hood and there is so much clearence, so if thats what you are going for get it. But if you are just looking for a way to cool it down a bit the termi hood is the obvious answer! But hey both look amazing so its up to you!

I might be leaning toward the Cobra R 2000 hood also i can get it with the louvres open and screened. It also goes well with the angles and curves of the 96-98 SN95.

I wanted a functional hood thats why I was looking at the Mach 1, but like you said looked out of place. Then I saw the Cyberstallion and I was like thats it THE ONE:eek:! The lines flow nice with the rest of the car. Yeah they are still around 400 bucks on the Boss web site.
