okay so iv done sunk a LOT of money in my car in the past years just getting my car up to par and being the 18yr old i am i had to have visual mods and such. soo im ready for some HP!!!!!! but like i said iv sunk enough into it already, there for not getting rid of it for a long time. i also have a 98 parts car, unfortunatly its a 3.8 to, im buying next month. i want to know what power mods that are the best bang for your buck, or mine to say, and or home made stuff would be cool to i can fab. and weld well! With out blowing a ton. Consider also i make $8.00 an hour and go to school, i have exhausted my savings now due to a few problems lately. so throw some things at me boys!

Take the heads and intakes from the parts car and Cut/port/weld your own upper intake. Gasket and Port Match the lower intake/heads. Clean all the carbon out of the heads and intakes and make your own oil catch can for the pcv. Find a Ranger in the junkyard with a 7.5" Trac-Lok with 3.45 or 3.73 gears and intstall it.

Honestly, I'd just transfer everything to 98 and make that run since it has OBDII which makes it easier to tune. The only thing you can get for your 95 is a chip. With the 98 you can get a Tuner, which has WAAAAY more capabilities. Then part out the 95 on the forums.

Cheapest you'll find anywhere, Tell him Garrett sent you.

I agree with cheeks but is your 95 obdii 2..mine is.
if your trying to save your money for horsepower why are you buying a parts car?
I can see if your combining them to fix some issues. I would recommend getting a 3.8 from a 99-00 and then doing what cheeks said as far as heads and intake. I went with the 99 and a windstar intale swap. Those changes added to the 3.73 trac loc i put in have made the car alot more fun.

cause the car has LOTS of extra parts and hes selling it to me at scrap price and it runs. plus im switching my crank windows over to the power windows and power locks! also get to part out other parts and change out body parts if needed. i was more less looking for a gt parts car to do a swap but for $350 and all the POS **** thats going out on my car i want this parts car. and yes im currently looking for an 8.8 to push under the lil stang.

Port polish heads, lower Intake
Do a split port swap
Put windstar in
Underdrive pulleys
8.8 rear end
4.10 gears
Cam
Long tube headers
Off road h pipe
flowmaster 40s
I think that's it
I got some longtubes for sale that will fit your car if you're interested pm me

No problem.

You can't really switch just the ECU. You'll need to swap the Gauges, the dash harness, the engine harness and a bunch of other **** that is just a pain in the ass.

Don't swap to split port keep it a single port and just build the spare motor that you will have. The 98 block will have the improved cooling passages and deeper head bolts to remedy the blown head gasket problem that your 95 will eventually have.

I've decided to build a stock bottom end 4.2 Singleport with Shaved/Ported heads for a 9.8-10:1 compression, Port matched lower, and a chopped upper with shortened runners and larger plenum, while I build a Forged 4.3 short block on the side. How well the Singleport does will decide how I proceed from there.

Singleport heads are better for boost anyways. :bubba:

This is for cams under .560 lift and with stock valves.

A cheap upgrade for bigger valves for the Single Port V6's is some stock 1.84 intake valves from split port V6. The Single Port Sixxers have 1.78 intake valves that flow like poo. They'll slide right into the stock guides, you just have to have your machine shop cut them for that size and then do a mild bowl blend.

I went with the 99 and a windstar intale swap.QUOTE]

Warthog did the windstar intake clear the stock hood or are you using the angled spacer from VAP to get it to clear..

The 95 should be a odbII car as 94-95 mustang v6's had obdII from the factory with a few still having the obd1 ports but also having the obdII port by the console.

The windstar did clear the stock hood...technically...i had to take a drummel and cut a small portion of the hood structure out. I just gently shut the hood and went under the car and took a flashlight and sharpie then marked where i had to trim. The trimming took a couple of shots..cut small portions over and over so i had to do only what i had to trim

You guys might wanna add prices next to the mods you're suggesting. This guy said cheap which I assume he wants for <$100

Obviously no mods worthwhile are that price, but some DIY might be what he's looking for.

:dunno

check my build thread

cold air intake from AM or any other company would prally be one of the first cheap performance mods to go with.
This is the single most worthless upgrade that you can do too a motor without Ported intakes and heads. There is absolutely no gain from this, regardless of what companies will try to sell you on.

I disagree
a cai is a good starting upgrade, than exhaust, gears,
