I actually think Mach's idea is a good one. The section has become way to unorganized. The other mod's are considering it atm. Activity will not be cut down.

Id rather not have subs here. I like the chillax atmosphere here. Getting off/on topic is fun and I like screwing around. I'm having a good time chatting it up, talking about products, and listening to real world reviews. To be honest, if I wanted a boring conversation on wash mits, I'd go to AG(which is why I only read AG not join). I come here because I like watching member fight over CG products, watching SON1C meltdown on a mod, watching Vader meltdown on SONIC... with subcategories I MIGHT MISS THIS STUFF.
Yes getting off topic is fun, but its actually against the rules of the forum, lol. Yes the mods let it go because its all in good fun but you gotta remember that the purpose of this forum is to learn and inform each other. So yes, most of us regulars have no problem with 1 undivided detailing forum because we have a base of detailing knowledge. But to a new person, they have no idea where to go to LEARN new INFORMATION without posting a thread, which just turns into ANOTHER thread of all us regulars answering the same first time detailer questions. If there was an "Intro into detailing" section with a sticky to answer all the questions, we could just refer them to that.
Im not asking for 12 different sections just like 4 or 5, that will help us organize the collective of detailing knowledge we all have and it will help new detailers get answers to the common novice questions that we answer 3 or 4 times a week.
Its not going to cut down on activity and it wont affect the cool atmosphere, its just going to organize the threads into subject specific areas.
If you manage the threads you participate in through your "subscribed threads" link then it will barely affect the way you use the forum.
