Back Story: Through the woods behind my buddy's parent's place is about 20 acres of basically nothing, except this little house on a lake. My guess is this place was built between the 50's & 70's, so not too old (In FL the widespread access of A/C made people start to come, so not too much is crazy old).

Well this house was abandoned but was neat to check out (this was almost 10 years ago, when I was in High School).

I went back a cpl weeks ago because I was in the neighborhood teaching my Fiance to drive the Stang, and decided to show her this place. It has been completely vandalized beyond belief, but still holds it's one great treasure.

My guess is '32 Model A, and I'm attempting to rescue it. This garage on the house has shrubs purposely planted all along the overhead door to prevent anyone opening it, and to seal this car in a tomb. It's insane. As you see the bastard kids have even attacked the car, which makes me want it out even more. Knowing the locals I've been able to track down who owns the land, and have written a letter (no better way to reach them) hoping that they are willing to sell the car and give it new life.

Will update as I hear anything back, but knowing how long it's been rotting away I doubt they are wanting to hold onto it, esp. knowing that it's being destroyed. I'm extremely excited to rescue it!

Probably wouldn't be the one to restore it, as I have zero experience with a classic like this, and unfortunately don't have the space nor tools. Hoping to just get it out of that place and to someone who can restore it and give it a good home... here's the letter I sent...

My name is Michael Goren, and I have learned of a hidden treasure that I believe belongs to you. Being from Odessa, I hear stories of things from the area, and came across the fact that there is a 1932? Model A Ford hidden away in a house off of Innfields Rd. From what I hear this car has been stored away for years, and has unfortunately been vandalized.
I am a huge fan of classic automobiles, and specifically Fords. I own modern Fords myself, and greatly enjoy working on them. Automobile, and in fact all history, interests me greatly, so I am very intrigued by the existence of such a classic piece of machinery.
I write you to propose a deal to purchase this car from you or at the least gather more information about it. It saddens me, as I’m sure it does you, to hear that it is not only locked away, but that it has been the victim of unwarranted abuse.
My goal, if you are willing to part with the vehicle, is to have it fully restored and given a good home where it will be cherished as I’m sure it once was. I would love to learn the history you and your family have with this car, and to be the one who gives it new life.
Whether you are willing to sell it or not, I would much appreciate you getting a hold of me to let me know that I have indeed found the rightful owner. Feel free to return a letter, send me an email, or give me a call at anytime.
