The safety guy at work got a 13 GT. He seen a video of steeda putting their cold air on and washing the car with a blue shop towel over the top of the intake and after they washed the car the towel was soaked.

Will this cause any harm? That won't hydro-lock the motor if he starts the car after he washed the car right?

I'm still looking for the said video, I don't think it got that soaked just from washing the car.

i have the steeda intake on mine and was afraid of the same thing. drove through a few heavy downpours and partially flooded streets and was fine. If your worried you can always just put a sock on it like iceguy did in stewarts post

Correction ... our test showed that there was no issue ... that was another test that was done with a cut in the middle.

You will have no issues with water getting into the vent and causing issues to the CAI. We have this CAI on our daily driver at the shop ... in Florida ... and it has been through car washes and down pours and still no issues.

Trust me when I say that if this was an issue, there would be a whole lot of messes on the forums that aftermarket manufacturers would have to clean up.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

TJ

I've watched the jay Leno 302 video a d ford says the 13 air box is the best out there and that other Cai are worthless according the the ford guy.

I told the guy at work and he has put his cold air on since there's no harm.

It goes around the filter shroud and dribbles down the frame rails onto the ground. It doesnt pool any where ;)
