So while doing my intake swap I found my car to have 24lb injectors (they are blue, 19 are yellow right?). I had always thought it should be 19 until you started upgrading heads and what not. My question is should I buy a set of 19's or will the 24's be alright?

Check the maff. It should be marked for the injectors its calibrated for. If you have the stock maff then youll either need an aftermarket maff or the 19 lb injectors.

Post pics of your maff sensor...

Keep them if your MAF is properly calibrated...
I wish I knew if it was or not - it's on my long list of things to do. And yes heads are on that list I'm just putting my paint job ahead of them and need the money for it.

Thanks as always for the info

Agree with Tbacon. Get the model number off the computer in the passenger kick panel

Here is a pic of inside the kick with what I think to be the number - is it good enough or do I have to pull the whole thing out?

The car did run great before I started this swap - I'm confused here on what I have for a computer and what I should do. Get 19lb injectors and that's it? Should I look for another computer? I do see them for sale often

Well thats just odd. Sd computer, stock mass air sensor, 24 lb injectors. I dont know where to start.

Are the wires from your maff conected into the cars computer harness ? I believe when you do the conversion you have to swap some pins around at the ECU computer plug. Im wondering if this was done. You might wanna look into finding some instructions on the mass air conversion, and check to see what was actually done or not done in the conversion.

Could have been an 89 computer harness swap too. I have quite a few maf computers for sale if you need one.
