I'll probably end up doing that. If work would pick up again I'd order the things I want. But neigh, work is still slow.

whiskey...what do you have done for suspension on your car? the main thing i noticed on mine is that is corners way better than my old 01 gt but it has the steeda 3 point subframe/torque box connectors

Dunlop Direzza Z1 Sport Star Specs in 245/45/18

Seems to work reasonably well. I would love more negative camber, more spring rate and better shocks/struts and more tire but I'm very budget limited so I can't fix those things too easily... When the star specs die by the end of this year I plan on picking up new wheels/tires. Probably TSW Interlagos 18x9's (18.7lbs each!) with 265/40/18 tires... the tires are "undecided" as of right now, I'm waiting to see how the "tire wars" stack out for the 140-200 treadwear street tire range. 265 is as wide as I can go in my autocross class, same for the 9" wheel. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I'll probably throw some Continental ExtremeContact DW's on the stock rims and run around on those for a DD tire and use the TSW's with the 265/40's for autocross only.

Finally bought a welder so I can work on the mustang. I picked up a Miller 211, not a tig welder like I wanted but more appropriate for what I need. Cant wait to weld the tq arm in place and see how well it all works. If it seems to handle ok maybe ill bail on setting up the neon for autox and buy an appropriate set of tires for the mustang. Suspension will be strange 10 way at all 4 corners, rear stock sway bar, progressive 375-440 lb/in springs and front are coilovers with 175-350 lbs./in and no sway bar. I might throw a sway bar up front but wont bother until I drive it and decide that is what I want. Surely that wouldn't do too bad with proper tires.

well my brother finally nutted up and bought a 2013 premium gt a couple weeks ago and traded that girly 3.7 for the 5.0
so it just means that i have my work cut out for me to be able to keep up

my younger brother just bought his first mustang a week ago. its a 1985 hatchback with a 306 5.0 in it, 650 holley carb, small cam, edelbrock intake, cervini 4 inch cowl hood. were gonna continue to improve its driveability then do some performance upgrades
