ive seen 2 threads this past week, i hate to start another thread about the manifolds but i dont wanna thread jack and im hoping to find a good answer

i have a 2000 so the manifold is plastic, and i really dont want it to crack while im out somewhere and away from home and the saleen be stuck somewhere and have to be towed home. so this got me thinking of replaceing the manifold and if i am why not get something that makes exra power! so with that being said can someone recommend a good aftermarket manifold that makes decent power...engine is basically stock beside full exhaust, 78mm throttle body and cai...if i can id like to get a manifold the throttle body will beable to bolt too...ive looked at a few but most seem to need a diffrent throttle and i just cant make up my mind...and also keep in mind as of now im planning keeping the car N/A

Do not get dorman. Frpp is the one you want. You have enough post to use AMs discount code too
Oh yeah, I always forget about.my discount code lol...well frpp it is! :) thanks man!

When my 98 imploded I bought a Dorman. Instead of brass inserts in places, you just were given self-threading screws. What I also found out later was on #3 and #4 plug holes the socket would not go into the well. I had two choices...either Dremel the intake a little or grind on the socket....I chose the later. Also the gaskets came on the intake and if they would need to be replaced they would be Dorman specific....the whole thing was "messy". It did work fine though....no complaints on that aspect.

The only other intake that would be an upgrade is the trickflow or bullitt intake

I ported my PI intake to match my ports on the heads. small gains but IMO unless you're boosted, there's no reason to upgrade from stock.

Unported on top; Ported on bottom

I would go with a TFS or Bullitt intake just because the PI intake is hideous. If money is a concern, then yea go with FRPP PI intake

Tfs as in trick flow? Well I'm not in a hurry to.change it, so I'm not really.worried about the.money. I was just more worried about if I do go with another brand.and spend the extra $ id want to feel a diffrence in power.
