A couple days ago I installed line locks since I was having trouble getting my drag radials to heat up enough at the drag strip. I decided to have a little fun with them last night. :rockon

Wow, nice burnout. But I'd be tempted to go to long and the tires would pop.

How difficult was it to put on line locks?
That actually was about a 10 second burnout. The P0 Rosso's really smoke and it didn't take much tread off, I was surprised.

The install was fairly easy. The kit is an SLP kit from Summit Racing. The 2 complaints I have are the cheap switch that comes with it and the location of the solenoid.

I purchased a covered toggle switch to prevent accidental engagement. To mount the solenoid you need an offset drill to get to the spot to drill for the mount.

The kit comes with pre-bent lines and everything else you need.

One drawback is it is a 1 solenoid kit so it goes before the abs. Most people go with a 2 solenoid kit so they are after the abs. Seems to work fine for me.

WHICH LINE LOCK KIT DID YOU GO WITH.?

ALSO HOW HARD WAS THE INSTALL AND HOW AND WHERE DID YOU MOUNT YOUR CABIN BUTTON TO HOLD

I installed the switch on the vertical center console. It would be next to my right knee. I'm not happy with this location but am struggling with finding a better location.

PMP sells a 2 solenoid kit.... solenoids sold separately... got it being delivered tomorrow....

When getting ready to engage the switch to the obvious on position. Do you put the break completely to the floor or just down a little. My dad just got a slp line lock today... when I used it I applied the peddle half way to the floor. It def locked the fronts but the rear tires pushed the car. Should I go to the floor with it?

I've only tried it twice so far and both times I pressed pretty hard on the peddle, the car never walked. We'll see what hapens Saturday when i'm at the track with my drag radials. Of course there will be a water box then so it shouldn't be a big deal.
