So I'm looking for a short shifter. The more I look the harder it is to chose one. I looked at Steeda trimax, MGW, and a hurst billet. Any of u have of had tried any of these? I have a stock 86 GT. I'm not lookin to set track times I just like the quick lil shifts instead of the long ones. Any suggestion is appreciated

I have a Hurst STS and love it.
I also have a Pro 5.0 STS that I acquired in a parts car I purchased. If you want it is yours. Make me an offer.

I've got a tri-ax on mine and its fantastic! problems hitting/missing 3rd sometimes but you can cure that with a little stregnth and bravery
ive tried a hurst and a pro 5.0 (my friend wont let me drive his new edge with a MGW)
The pro 5.0 seems to be a lot smoother, whereas the hurst and tri-ax both have more of that "hell yeah gear change!" feel hishman was talking about.
If you wanna have more fun shifting gears I'd say hurst or steeda, and I kinda prefer the steeda....I hear some good things about that MGW though...

Butter smooth and I've never missed a shift with it. And I've owned my car for some 3 years now.

Just unbolt the old one and bolt up the new one. Shouldn't need to add any oil
