I gave a 334 code on my scanner from my '94 dual plug 2.3 that I can't clear.
Check engine light is on constantly and steady. Water gauge never reads over 1/4 of the way up, either. Engine heats up fine nut never overheats, even wit this summer's heat. Any help anyone......ed

Sorry....The car is 1993 Mustang Conv with 4 spd OD Auto, 104k miles. The car runs out pretty good, no skips or anything except some hesitation and slow acceleration...(figurin' that's the powertrain combo, though)

Guys, I still need ideas on a fix for the car. I already replaced the ECTS valve on the fire wall and it doesn't overheat or lose coolant...(And besides other than puttin' in a V-8!) (I already have an 87 LX w/302, massaged 4bbl ......C-4 auto in this one...)

The engine is completely stock, with stock plugs. It skips once in a great while and maybe that's where the lack if performance comes from. It just seems to take soooo long to get to highway speed if you're getting on a ramp.

My main concern is the ECM Code and how to fix it. As I've said I've changed the ECTS valve on the firewall and the temp gauge never goes above 1/4 (factory dash unit). But it never seems to overheat even this summer!

It idles pretty good and seems to run out well. My main concern is the Check Engine Light and the 334 Code. I have changed the ECTS sensor and about to change the engine temp sensor but if that doesn't clear the Check Engine Light I'm still stuck......

The code also mentions the EGR valve. I have cleaned it out and then replaced it with a known good one and now get a 332 code, which is the EGR valve and nothing to do with the engine temp or anything else.
The car is still drivable and all but it gets to be a pain.

MSO that still wont clear his code if he blocked it off.
"332 EGR Valve opening not detected."
how do you know it was a good one? was it new?
any used parts could still give you the same problem.
also maybe check to see if the EGR Valve is completly
plugged in.

Dunno if this is a cause.. But maybe the tube goin to the
EGR valve is plugged with Carbon and not allowing
and exhaust reach the vavle?

blockign doesnt give you a code.. mine is blocked right
now and no codes at all. But Turbo was goin somewhere.
I was recently having a misfire as well and it ended up
actually being my number one plug wire.

didnt misfire all the time. Was just randomly it would mis
during idle more so at acceleration and driving speeds..
if you havent done a tune up in awhile would recommend it.
Normally the first thing i do when i buy a vehicle. Just cause i
dunno when the last time it was done so.. check the plugs as well
they would be needing changing as well.
