May be because mine is lowered a bit. I've got a bmr bracket and upper control arm on order, hopefully that will fix it up

My buddy said his UCA fixed the vibration he had.

I'm pumped to get this thing tuned. With the alum ds if I roll into it in first gear it'll lay rubber. So it definitely picked up.

I think I'm going to order a shifter. I love the stock setup, but I grinded 2nd and 3rd today. I missed 3rd, and I hit 2nd but it still grinded. I don't like that, gets me worried.

i'd sooner order a shifter bracket before a short throw shifter. or both at the same time.

the stock bracket is a sloppy pos

It is sloppy. I can shift it quick. I just don't want to chance destroying the synchros.

Should have just bought an auto :D

why would you want to do that?

it's not like you want to go fast or anything.........................:)

don't worry though, theres always the camaros to beat up on, lol.

seriously though, a clutch line & bracket would be my first purchases along with removing the assist spring.

I'll second the assist spring mod. One of my favorite mods so far, along with the shifter bracket

Got the airaid intake on tonight. Fitment was nice, install was easy. Only thing I didn't like was the gay blind grommet. Had a hard time getting it to fit. But other then that, all good.

So now when I go up to the Dyno Monday, ill just pull the maf reducer. Pumped to get it on the Dyno.

I think it'll make good power, Pete got 386rwhp out of a bone stock 11 GT tune only. So adding intake, and x pipe... I think it'll break 400rwhp. Pete uses a dynojet and sae correction. ****, I've seen people on YouTube posting there Dyno similar mods making 420-430rwhp. Probably STD... But still.

As much as I'm more interested in good ET and good trap speed, everyone loves Dyno numbers. Admit it or not, you do! :D

I love Dyno numbers... Even though i haven't had mine on a dyno..

So I noticed my IAT's hit 115* on a 80* day. Seems high, idk if the shroud really keeps the heat from the headers away. I don't ever remember seeing that high of IAT's with the factory airbox, maybe like 120* but it was 90-95* out. They went down to about 88* while cruising, but if I stopped at a light they would climb fast to 108'ish.

The AEM shroud looks like it would keep the heat away the best to be honest. Just figured I'd share!

Did you mean Inlet Air Temp (IAT) if yes then that's normal.. and congrats on the drive shaft, I love the home made ramps lol..

Yea IAT = inlet air temps. I know it's normal, just seems like its defeating the purpose of a "cold air" intake. It's not a big deal since its only humid in New England for a couple months.

My iat is certainly a few degree's warmer while cruising around town with the steeda cai. Been thinking about selling it to put the money towards other things.

It does sound cool though

Yea I was alittle disappointed with that. Like I said, I think that defeats the whole purpose of it being a cold air intake. AEM filter cover looks like it would do the best keeping hot air out. I may sell the airaid and pick up one of those.

But, it's really not hot long enough to justify it. But it's still disappointing.

I'm not missing the point. I'm just saying, the intake is called a "cold air" intake. I know aftermarket intakes flow more air, and make better power with a tune. I wasn't born yesterday. Again, like I said, it's disappointing that an aftermarket "cold air" intake takes in more hot air then the factory intake. I think your missing the point.

Can easily see the difference. I'm sure the AEM keeps the hot air out better

The AEM is close to the stock air box with an open element filter and larger diameter MAF tube. These are not cold air intakes anymore.

And also remmember aftermarket CAI's have only shown dyno numbers with the hood up and no real world track gains. Think of them for looks and sound.

I was just looking at the AEM and noticed it was stock diameter. Just the filter cover is better.

Also, again, the hood being open is equivalent to going WOT in 3rd gear. While driving you have all that air hitting the nose. On the Dyno, the car is wot in 5th gear at a stand still with no air hitting it.

I have my car dyno'd on a trailer dyno with the hood open. The owner of the dyno then hooks up to the trailer and pulls me around at 90 mph.
