If you do not mind me asking, why stage 1's over stage 2's?
What f8l said. This won't be a race car for a very long time. Got other priorities first. Get the wife through school, buy a house, etc... for now its just a show car that will get taken to the track from time to time.

Got farther than I expected tonight. Got the intake off and the passenger valve cover. Also got the idler and tensioner pulleys off. Gotta figure out how I'm going to get the ac compressor and power steering pump off. can't drive it up onto blocks now to jack it up

Are you taking the timing cover off? If not your going to have to bet the serpentine belt back on in order to get the water pump bolts and crank bolt off.

Scissor jack your car until you can get your big jack under to fully lift it up. I did it that way and then sat the cars front tires onto blocks of wood, that way its safer then just sitting on jack stands. Get a size 10mm ratcheting wrench. Then unloosen the easy bolts for the power steering until you get enough room to slide the 10mm ratcheting wrench onto the pain in the butt bolt on the power steering. That's the easiest way to do it. The ac compressor is simple, its just 3 10mm bolts, shouldn't take you long to take off. One bolt might be captive because it hits the sway bar so just fully unloosen it with the 10mm ratcheting wrench.

How would I do the cams without taking it off?

Thanks though. Didn't think about using the scissor jack

You could use an Anderson tool that holds the timing chain in place so that you don't have to remove the timing cover. I wouldn't recommend it, its a lot safer to take the timing cover off.
I wasn't sure if you were taking it off or using the Anderson tool to hold the timing chain. Yea I did the same thing you did, I had to put the tensioner and all the pulleys back on in order to get the crank bolt and water bolts off. When you do the crank bolt pulley make sure you have some blocks on your tires because your car might move a bit since the crank spins a little bit until you get the bolt off. If you have any questions I could help you out, I just did cams last week so its all still fresh on my mind.

I have press on gears so i don't think i could use that tool. I may have to do that to get them off. Don't have a compressor at my house. Might see if I can borrow my buddys electric impact gun.

I ordered my cams before you :shiftyeyes
