Alright, so I'm finally getting around to building my suspension. I already have a Steeda front sway bar, Ford Racing C-Springs for the front, and Granatelli Motorsports adjustable rear LCAs (up to 1"). I'm gonna run stock rear springs because they're supposed to be the best for weight transfer on launches.

Now to the decision. I'm going back and forth between:

Bilstein B6's all around

or

KYB AGX's in front
Koni STR.T's in rear

The Bilstein's and Koni's are non-adjustable while the KYB's are. I get everything wholesale so it would be around $610 to do the Bilstein's and around $360 to do the second option. I'd also consider running Bilstein's up front and Koni's in the rear which would put me at $520.

Are Bilstein's that great that they're worth the extra $250 or so? Or does the advantage of having adjustables up front compensate for the difference in quality?

P.S. With the money saved doing the cheaper option, I'd be getting FLSFC's.

HELP!

If I were buying new I would go with Tokico or Koni. If you want adjustability go with Tokico Illuminas. The Koni's you listed are also good.

You don't need a dedicated suspension to cut a good 60'. Last Friday I cut a 1.67 and a 1.71 with Steeda sport springs, Bilstein HD shocks/struts, MM HD lower control arms, and FRPP upper control arms on BFG drag radials. This suspension has been on the car for 5 years and I daily drive it. The Bilstein HD's are more of a handling shock/strut. Bilstein's are know for being good quality. Not sure what the B6's you listed are meant to be used for. As far as being worth the extra $250 I personally don't think you would be able to tell the difference. Many use Tokico's and are happy with them.

How does your setup feel for d/d? I've been looking into some options because I want to lower my mustang, but I still want a decent ride..

B6's are HD's -- just a variant of them. I'm looking for something that is more of a handling strut so if that's the case, I might just pony up the cash and do the Bilstein's.
